Crows Nest Pudding

1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Butter, the size of a walnut
Flour, as needed

Chocolate Pudding Filling
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cream the butter and egg; add the sugar and baking powder; mix well; add the milk and vanilla extract; mix well. Add enough flour to make a little stiffer than cake batter and bake in 9x13-inch pan at 375 degrees F for 20-30 minutes. When cool cut in little squares and top with filling.

Chocolate Pudding Filling: Mix sugar, flour, cornstarch and cocoa, add to milk and water and bring to boil, add vanilla. Put this on the squares and serve while hot.
